  2. Check for dark spots or stains on mattress
  3. Look to see if there are red dots on the mattress

When looking for the common “red flags” that a mattress has bed bugs, if you see dark red spots or stains on the mattress, this is blood of another bed bug victim which means you need to get you and your family out of that room as soon as possible. Request a new room even if the manager tells you that the room is 100% bed bug free.

After you check for bed bugs in your room, you will be at peace knowing the fact that your room is no infected with bed bugs. You will also enjoy a great night of sleep without being bit up by bed bugs at early hours of the night as well.
